A Payload CMS instance used for live, and soon-to-be live, content and media assets for Finity internal and client-facing websites.
About Payload CMS
Payload is an open-source content management system platform that Finity uses to manage content that appears on our client-facing and internal websites.
How to use Payload Production
This Payload instance is where we manage live content, features, and functionality that has been thoroughly tested on Payload Dev.
To update content and assets
Add to Payload Prod any editorial content and media assets that the Creative team, the client(s), and senior stakeholders have approved to go live.
· New entries have a status of Draft
· Changes to existing entries have a status of Changed
Review your changes on an internal server.
At the appropriate time, after all changes have been reviewed, proofed, and approved, publish your changes. They will then be live.
To add new collections or update the content model
Any changes to the content model, including new collections or updates to existing content types, must begin in Payload Dev and then be merged into Prod. See full instructions here.
If you find broken functionality on Payload Prod, create a bug ticket on the ENT Jira board to have it fixed.
To request an enhancement, contact the CMS Team or the Development Team. Note that enhancements are first tested on Payload Dev before being merged into Payload Prod.
User roles and permissions
To publish content on Payload Prod, you'll need a user role that allows it.
To verify your user role, log in and click the Profile icon in the top right. Your user role appears in the Roles field.
